Managing Task Order

QuickPlanX allows you to adjust the order of tasks within their parent group. Every task (except the root task) belongs to a parent group, and you can easily reorder these sibling tasks to better organize your project structure.

Keyboard Shortcuts (Mac)​

  • Command (⌘) + Up Arrow (↑): Move task up in the sibling order
  • Command (⌘) + Down Arrow (↓): Move task down in the sibling order

Context Menu (Mac)​

  1. Right-click (or Ctrl + left click) on the task you want to move
  2. Select the appropriate option from the context menu to move the task up or down among its siblings

Action Bar (iPhone and iPad)​

  1. Select and focus on the task you want to reorder
  2. Tap the ↑ or ↓ button on the action bar to move the task up or down among its siblings Task Order Buttons

Tips​

  • Reordering tasks only changes their visual position within the parent group—it doesn't affect task dependencies or scheduling
  • Use Tree View or Column View for the most intuitive task reordering experience
