Default Standard Rate

The default standard rate specifies the default hourly cost rate for project resources. You can adjust this rate for specific resources in the project resources settings.

How Standard Rate Works​

The actual standard rate of resources is used to calculate task costs based on the task work and the assigned rate. If the resource cost of a task is set to "auto", the formula is:

Resource Cost = ∑assigned resources(Workload × Standard Rate)

However, this default standard rate does not directly impact the calculation of resource costs. Instead, the default standard rate is used as a template when creating new resources (by copying this default data). You can then adjust the standard rate for each specific resource as needed.

Updating Project Default Standard Rate​

To modify your project's default standard rate settings:

  1. Access Project Settings
  2. Navigate to the "General" section
  3. Update the default standard rate as needed
