Key Settings Categories

QuickPlanX offers extensive project customization through several key setting categories:

Project Properties Configuration

Configure essential project properties including project name, currency, daily working hours, default standard rate, project resources, and project task link style. You can also modify the project start or finish dates as needed.

Task Fields & Task Display Content

QuickPlanX provides a highly flexible system for customizing task information and presentation. For each project, you can:

  • Choose which fields to display and use
  • Customize field titles and descriptions
  • Adjust the display order of task fields
  • Configure field-specific settings

The presentation of task information is fully customizable across all views. QuickPlanX allows you to define the content displayed on task elements in Gantt Chart, Tree, and Column views.

This section covers comprehensive project customization topics including field visibility, titles and ordering, taskbar display on Gantt charts, task element display on Tree view, and task element display on Column view.

Project Settings vs. App Settings

QuickPlanX offers two levels of settings to give you maximum flexibility:

  • Project Settings (this section): These settings are specific to each individual project and control how that particular project behaves, appears, and manages its data. Project settings sync across all your devices and affect only the current project.

  • App Settings: These are application-wide settings that affect all projects on your current device. App settings include general preferences and device-specific user interface options that don't sync to other devices. See details

For example, visible task fields can be customized per project (since different projects may need different information), while font sizes are typically set at the app level (since they depend on your device and personal preferences).
